Friendshoring
Friendshoring (also known as allyshoring) is an international logistics and supply chain strategy that involves routing manufacturing and sourcing hubs through countries that are political and economic allies. Following massive supply chain disruptions caused by the pandemic and rising geopolitical tensions, nations and multinational corporations are shifting away from traditional "offshoring," which focused primarily on finding the lowest labor costs. Instead, they are prioritizing supply chain resilience and national security. By relocating their logistics networks to trusted countries with shared values, companies aim to protect their operations from sudden embargoes, tariffs, or political instability.

프렌드쇼어링(Friendshoring)은 동맹국이나 가치를 공유하는 우방국으로 공급망을 이전하거나 구축하는 국제 물류 및 경제 전략을 의미합니다. 최근 지정학적 긴장과 팬데믹으로 인한 물류 병목 현상을 겪으면서, 기업들은 비용 절감만을 추구하던 과거의 '오프쇼어링' 방식에서 벗어나게 되었습니다. 이제는 인건비가 조금 더 들더라도 국가 안보와 공급망의 안정성을 최우선으로 고려합니다. 즉, 정치적·경제적으로 신뢰할 수 있는 국가에 물류 기지를 두어, 향후 발생할 수 있는 무역 제재나 글로벌 위기 상황에서도 화물 운송이 멈추지 않도록 대비하는 움직임입니다.
