Since I was born
I have been a pilgrim

I was born between high mountains and low lakesides in Gangwon Province
My journey is like climbing every day
Like walking on the water

Now
I am sick very much
My life gets heavy
But my mind is light like wind blowing to the mountains
Like a bird that flies over the lake

Before I end my life
I will tell it
To all of them I met on the streets
Waving my hands

For the moments to cry much
I accepted it as love
I was happy, thankful and beautiful.

태어나면서부터
나는 순례자

강원도의 높은 산과
낮은 호숫가 사이에 태어났으니
나의 여정은 하루 하루
산을 오르는 것과 같았고
물 위를 걷는 것과 같았네

지금은
내 몸이 많이 아파
삶이 더욱 무거워졌지만
내 마음은
산으로 가는 바람처럼
호수 위를 나르는 흰 새처럼
가볍기만 하네

세상 여정 마치기 전
꼭 한 번 말하리라
길 위에서 만났던 모든 이에게
가만히 손 흔들며 말하리라

많이 울어야 할 순간들도
사랑으로 받아 안아
행복했다고
고마웠다고
아름다웠다고
