Edvard Eriksen, The Little Mermaid Statue, 2016 Edvard Eriksen, The Little Mermaid Statue, 2016, Han River Park, Seoul, Korea Edvard Eriksen, The Little Mermaid Statue, 2016, Han River Park, Seoul, Korea [Sculpture] Date 2016 The Little Mermaid Statue is a gift from Copenhagen based on the 2014 Agreement for Friendly Exchanges and Cooperation between the Seoul Metropolitan Government and Copenhagen Municipality. This is the first time ever the statue is ecxhanged between two cities. The Little Mermaid Statue was made by Edvard Eriksen, founder and owner of the original statue in Copenhagen[1]. In return, Seoul sent a sculpture with its theme on Gwanghwamun, symbolizing the city as a token of its gratitude. Our sincere appreciation is expressed to everyone involved in this this project.
