해국 편지 해국(海菊): 학명 Aster spathulifolius. 중부이남의 바닷가에서 자라는 국화과의 여러해살이풀이다. 가지가 많이 갈라지며 키는 30~60cm로 자라고 9~11월에 가지 끝에 연보라색의 꽃이 핀다. 해변국이라고도 하며 꽃말은'기다림'이다. 해국 편지 울릉도 바닷가에 연보랏빛 해국이 피었습니다. 스스로 세상을 등진 사람처럼 맵짠 해풍이 몰아치는 외딴 섬 바닷가 절벽 위에서 바다를 향해 피었습니다. 하늘과 바다 사이 그리움의 경계인 양 수평선 하나 그어 놓고 바람의 전언을 기다리는 꽃 오늘은 나도 한송이 해국으로 피어 당신을 기다리고 싶습니다. 글.사진 - 백승훈 사색의향기님(culppy@culppy.org)께서
