현명한 이에게 존경을 받고, 아이들에게서 사랑을 받는것.
정직한 비평가에게 찬사를 듣고, 친구 아닌 친구들의 배반을 참아내는것.
아름다움을 식별할줄 알며, 다른 사람에게서 최선의 것을 발견하는것.
세상을 조금이라도 더 좋은 곳으로 만들어 놓고 떠나는 것,
그것이 건강한 아이를 낳는 것이든, 한뙈기의 정원을 가꾸는 것이든, 사회 환경을 개선하는 것이든.
그리고 자신이 한때 이곳에 살았음으로 해서 단 한사람의 인생이라도 행복해지는 것.
