It’s changed my life a lot, in many different ways. I came into it really new to the business, didn’t really know much. I learned everything on set here, made some really good friends. Everyone’s really positive – I love it.

It was challenging because it’s not me. I went to a lot of web sites that dealt with teenage pregnancy. I read a lot of stories about girls having to go through what Mia did [Mia is Nina's character on Degrassi]. There’s the alienation factor and there are all the stories and rumors, having everybody judge you. It isn’t easy.

Acting, Phoebe Cates

If the film, play or any project I`m involved in requires some sort of violence or nudity to advance the plot, scene or character in any way, then I would be considered unprofessional not to oblige. Of course, I want to make sure -- and I think I always have -- that the scenes are shot in good taste. I try to have some control; now that I know what I`m capable of including in a contract, I can continue that control. Nudity is not something I necessarily want to avoid and yet it`s not the most fun thing in the world to do. It`s part of the job as far as I`m concerned because you bare yourself emotionally and that`s just as terrifying as baring yourself physically. It`s all part of acting.

영화든 연극이든 그 어떤 프로젝트든 내용이나 장면 또는 극중 인물을 더 발전시키기 위해서 어느 정도의 폭력이나 노출을 요구 받았을 때, 따르지 않는다면 전문가가 답지 못하다 여겼습니다. 물론 좋은 장면임을 확실히 하고 싶어했고, 언제나 그랬다고 생각합니다. 나는 어느 정도 관리하려고 했습니다. 나는 계약서에 어떤 걸 포함시킬 수 있는지 알고 있기에, 그렇게 관리를 계속할 수 있습니다. 노출이 내가 꼭 피하고 싶어하는 건 아닙니다. 그러나 가장 재미있는 일도 아니죠. 내 생각에는 정신적으로 발가벗는 것은 육체적으로 발가벗는 것 만큼 끔찍합니다. 이건 모두 연기의 일부입니다.
