서른 개의 바퀴살이 바퀴통에 연결돼 있어도 비어 있어야 수레가 된다. 찰흙을 빚어 그릇을 만들어도 비어 있어야 쓸모가 있다. 창과 문을 내어 방을 만들어도 비어 있어야 쓸모가 있다. 그런 고로 사물의 존재는 비어있음으로 쓸모가 있는 것이다.

거짓이 거짓을 낳고

거짓이 거짓을 낳고

한 가지의 거짓말을 참말처럼 하기 위해서는 항상 일곱 가지의 거짓말을 필요로 한다.

- 루터 -

거짓이 거짓을 낳고 또 그 거짓을 숨기지 위해 또 다른 거짓을 가져와야하니 얼마나 힘이 듭니까. 그래서 어떤 때는 처음 했던 거짓이 거짓으로 인해 탄로가 나기도 하지요. 선의의 거짓도 있지만, 그 선의라는 것도 어떨 때는 악용된 경우도 있습니다.

거짓이 너무 진실 같아서 진실이 오히려 수세에 몰리기도 하지만, 그러나 진실은 시간이 걸릴 뿐 언젠가는 제 모습을 드러냅니다.

밝은 햇살에 훤히 드러난 사물처럼 투명하게 살고 싶은 날, 오늘 나의 말이나 행동은 얼마나 진실할까요.
