법정에 간 금발이

한 금발여인이 어떤 소송에서 법정에 증인으로 출석하라는 소환을 받았다. 검사가 질문하기 시작했다.
"증인은 8월 24일 밤에 어디에 있었습니까?"

피고측 변호사가 말했다.
"이의 있습니다. 이 질문은 아무런 관계가 없는 질문입니다."

금발여인이 증인석에서 말했다.
"괜찮습니다. 저는 그 질문에 답변해도 좋습니다."

피고측에서 다시 말했다.
"저는 이의 있습니다."

금발여인이 말했다.
"저는 정말 이의없습니다. 답변하겠습니다."

판사가 명령했다.
"증인이 답변을 주장하고 있는 이상 피고가 이를 거절할 이유가 없습니다."

그래서 검사는 질문을 되풀이 하였다.
"증인은 8월 24일 밤에 어디에 있었나요"

금발여인은 분명하게 답변하였다.
"저는 모릅니다."
